The Run Down

We lost. We are now 1-1 after going down 4 goals to 3 tonight.

It was quite evident that we are in dire need of a fourth guy on our team. We had four girls and three guys, they had four guys and three girls. And it hurt us.

The field was slippery as fuck, muddy and wet. I just don't know soccer well enough to feel comfortable out there. I never know when to commit to a guy, or play an area, or when to run up or when to stay back, the whistle blows and I have no idea why.

Many times tonight I sold out to defending one guy too much and left myself with no options if it didn't work, and more often than not it didn't work so I was left to do my best getting back to where I needed to be, but by then it was usually too late.

I had two fouls called on me, but didn't get ejected this time.

It's a good thing we have Jesse and Will on our team to pick up a lot of slack.

Ok. Last weekend.

I was thinking about what to write about and how to do it so it could most vividly put a reader in the actual scene, but that is nearly impossible. And, in my opinion, my biggest fault as a writer is perfectionism. I won't hand something in on time if I don't think it representative of my best work. I won't complete something that in my mind isn't to accomplish what I think it should. I am obviously more careful with school work than my blog, but there are still standards for the blog.

So about this weekend. I can throw words up. You might chuckle or grin, but it will be impossible for you to even enter the same atmosphere that we were in that night. Maybe it is because of the nature of the debauchery or maybe it is a limitation of mine as a writer, but either way, you'll just have to show up next weekend to experience it for yourselves.

BUT, after all of that, I feel obligated to spew some things out here, although Jesse did a pretty good job in his blog of walking everyone through the main events.

Naked Dave, twice I saw his dick flopping around on Water St. that night, once in his 4 am run and once on the way home from the bars. He also ran over a few cars on foot, slipping and doing a belly flop on one windshield.

Fortunately, he wasn't the member of the group who encountered the law at the wrong time and place.

Alright, I can't do it. It's just not good enough, so if you want to know more, call me or some shit, I'll tell you all about it, I'll do my best imitations if you want, but I just can't do a good enough job of getting this down in words.

The bottom line: Can't enough of Dave's antics. More crazy weekends need to be spent with Aaron Gooze. Adam Breakfjakjeski might have had the worst performance of 213 history.

A friend sent me this link today and said I better do something with it. So here is me doing something with it. He may be hot, you may get pregnant and live off him, but is it worth it...?

New Pope. I don't care. He's 78 though, so we'll get to do all this again in about 5-10 years maybe, huh? Does Vegas have an over/under on how long Benny the 16th will reign over the Catholic Church?

I forgot to tell this story a few weeks ago. I was at work on a Saturday night. I hate working Saturday nights, but anyway, my boss comes in from outside and says that there are kids drinking in one of the dumpsters. It's one that is only used for cardboard, but still, and the boss said that the kids got denied at the bars and needed a place to drink. I have to think I could come up with a better place than the dumpster behind She-nan's and Jeff and Jim's.

I need to crash. The last two weeks, maybe longer, have been pretty shitty for my blog. I feel like I'm in a Sports Guy like slump.

I'll be back.

Until The Next.
